The following national support groups are available to people who may be struggling with loss or other hardships. Your funeral director can offer additional information at your request.

The following grief counseling and support groups are available in our region. These organizations offer help to people who have experienced loss through death. Your funeral director can offer additional information at your request.

Hospice Austin Grief Resources Various support groups, counseling and programs, all are free of charge. Programs are open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Pre-registration is required. Survivors Of Suicide Hosted by Hospice of Austin For people who have lost someone through suicide, this group meets monthly. Information is available by calling the number below. No charge. Contact: Beryl D. Southall Phone: 342-4784		Ronald Mcdonald House An ongoing bereavement group for parents who have lost a child, meets at the Ronald McDonald House 403 East 15th Street. This group meets at 7:00P.M.on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Contact: Rhonda Swanner Phone: 472-9844

Center For Grief And Loss Groups will meet for eight weeks at 2525 Wallingford Dr., Ste. 701. Dates and times to be determined. For more information please call. There is a fee charged for the group meetings. Phone: 327-2286		Project Transitions Support groups for families and individuals that have lost someone to AIDS are offered regularly free of charge, open to the public. Walking The Mourners Path Support group for individuals that are adjusting to life after the death of a loved one. Meetings are held every Saturday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Dr. Please call for times. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Austin Office (State Office), 611 S. Congress, Suite 505, Austin, TX 78704. Providing assistance and support for survivors of victims of drunk driving. Call for support group information. Phone: 445-4976 Fax: 445-4979		Austin Center For Attitudinal Healing The center sponsors a support group for anyone who has experienced bereavement. My Healing Place On-going support groups are offered on Tuesday evenings at no charge. Groups are organized according to age and type of loss. We may also be reached by email at		For The Love Of Christi FOR THE LOVE OF CHRISTI is a non-profit, non-denominational support program for individuals and families adjusting to life after the death of a loved one, regardless of the circumstances. There are no fees involved. The purpose of our program is to help one another by listening with our hearts, by working to keep our cherished memories alive, and by offering unconditional love, comfort, and emotional support. We want to thank you for the kindness and concern you showed us in handling all the details of our dad's funeral. As I told you several times, he would have been pleased that he was in the hands of a Travis-ex. Because of you, everything went so smoothly.
